Mama Doe

Mama Doe

We were fishing for Smallmouth Bass working a shoreline with a steep dropoff. We looked up and saw this doe and her fawn (shown in the next picture) walking along the waters edge. They were standing a little too far apart to get them both in the same picture. Mom was on high alert as the fawn made his way to the edge of the grass, then scurried back to the woods. They mingeled around for about 10 minutes before disappearing back into the woods.
