Who would’ve thought open water fishing in February. Not this lady! When she said she wanted to go fishing she thought ice fishing. Oh no! The weather was warm enough on this day, we headed to open water. She’d never caught a walleye, on her first cast, she caught this 21 inch “slot walleye” that was released. Walleyes from 20-28 inches can’t be kept. A dandy for the first one. She ended the day with several keepers, and had an awesome time!
